What this website is

An information site describing what SamaStack does and what it typically costs. Using it does not create a contract between us, and nothing here obliges either of us to work together.

Published prices are a guide, not offers

Every price and timeline published on this site, including the monthly plan prices, the scope builder, the industry pages and anything in the writing section, is a guide to help you plan. It is not a quotation, not an offer capable of acceptance, and not a promise that your requirement will fall inside it. A binding price exists only once we have discussed what you need and sent you a written quote that you sign. The price, the term and the billing dates are all set in that signed quote. Prices shown in other currencies are set for those markets, not converted from rupees, and are reviewed from time to time; the written quote fixes both the number and the currency.

The monthly plan

Hosting, backups, monitoring, Ask your business, and changes to what we built. New modules or big new features get a written quote before work starts. Support is Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm IST. No fixed number of hours is promised: the plan covers running and changing what we built for you, not a block of time.

Changes and new work

Changes to screens, fields, reports and questions in what we built are included. A new module, a new app or a new connection is new work, and we quote it in writing before we start.

Fair use

Changes are scheduled in the order they arrive, and we tell you when to expect each one. If requests in a month go far beyond normal use, we will talk to you before doing more. The same applies to Ask your business, which has no charge per question.

Prices, invoices and payment

Prices exclude GST in India and local taxes elsewhere. We invoice monthly. The billing dates and when payment is due are set in your signed quote. Payment details are shared privately with your contract. We will only ever ask you to pay to the account named in your signed contract. We do not offer free trials that turn into a paid plan on their own: the plan start and the billing date are in writing before anything is billed.

Cancelling

Cancel any time with one month's notice, by email to hello@samastack.com. Nothing more is needed to cancel.

Your data and the code

Your data is yours and exports free at any time. Ask for an export at any time, including when you leave. Own the code later, at a one time price based on what we built for you, or from day one through a custom offer. The signed quote says how each works for your plan.

Buying the code later

Start monthly and buy the code later, at a one time price based on what we built for you. No obligation to buy. The price is set in writing before you decide.

Own from day one

Own from day one is a custom offer made after a conversation. The build fee and the monthly retainer are written into the contract before work starts. Once the build fee is paid in full, the code written for you is assigned to you from day one. The retainer covers running the system: hosting, upkeep, changes and Ask your business, with one month's notice to cancel, the same as the monthly plan.

What stays ours

Your content, your data and your brand are yours. The reusable building blocks SamaStack brings to every client stay ours, and are licensed to you for as long as you use the system, including after you buy the code or leave.

Data we process for you

For the data inside the systems we build and run, you decide what is collected, and you are the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. We process that data only on your instructions and only to run your system. Our privacy policy covers this website, not your customers' data.

Clients outside India

For clients outside India, the contract names the currency, the local taxes, the governing law and how disputes are settled. Ask us how invoices and taxes work for your country before you sign.

Accuracy

We try hard to keep everything here correct and current, including the comparisons with other categories of software, which are based on publicly published prices at the time of writing. Prices set by other companies change without telling us. Check anything you intend to rely on, and tell us if you find something wrong so we can fix it.

Case studies and examples

Work described on this site is real, and client identities are withheld by agreement. Dashboard screens shown anywhere on this site use sample data with invented names, and are labelled as such. They illustrate what a system looks like; they are not screenshots of any client's live data.

Our content

The text, design, code and diagrams on this website belong to SamaStack. You are welcome to quote a reasonable extract with a link back. Do not republish pages wholesale or present this work as your own. This is separate from work we build for clients, which is governed by each client's signed quote. The fonts on this site are Archivo, Figtree, IBM Plex Mono and Tiro Devanagari Hindi, each used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Links out

Where we link to another website we are pointing at something useful, not vouching for it. What happens on someone else's site is governed by their terms and their privacy policy.

Confidentiality

What you tell us about your business stays between us, before and after you sign. The contract sets out the detail.

Liability

This website is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from decisions taken purely on the basis of information published here, which is exactly why we recommend a conversation before you commit to anything. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction over any dispute about this website.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date below changes with it, and we tell clients by email before a change applies to their plan.
