One time build or monthly plan
A one time build is a large payment up front, then hosting, a yearly maintenance contract and every change paid separately. A monthly plan spreads the build over time and folds the running costs in. Over three years the comparison depends on how much you change the system: a business that never touches its software after launch may pay less buying once; a business that keeps changing usually pays less on a plan, because the changes are already in the price.

If you need one small tool that already exists as a cheap subscription, use the subscription. If your process changes every quarter, wait until it settles. If you have an in house developer who will maintain the system, buying once may suit you better. We say so on the first call.
What the monthly price does not include
New modules or big new features get a written quote before work starts, so you always know before you commit. Fees charged by other services, such as a payment gateway's charge per transaction or a messaging provider's fee per message, go to them directly. And taxes: every price on this page is before GST.
