Explaining an AI product to the most careful buyers there are.
A legal technology startup built an AI research tool for Indian lawyers, and lawyers are precisely the audience that does not take claims on faith. The product needed a public face that explains, shows restraint and captures interest. Shipped in 8 days.
The problem
The audience is trained to distrust claims
Selling research software to lawyers is a special case of a general problem: the more careful the buyer, the harder marketing copy fails. Three things had to be solved at once.
Scepticism is the profession
A lawyer reads a page of adjectives the way they read a weak affidavit. The site had to show what the tool does, in the vocabulary of practice, and let restraint do the persuading.
A new category to explain
AI research over Indian case law is new enough that visitors arrive with the wrong mental model. The site has to teach what the product is before it can ask anyone to try it.
Interest with nowhere to go
Before launch, curiosity arrived through personal messages and was lost the same way. Early interest is the scarcest asset a new product has, and none of it was being kept.
What was built
What we built instead
A launch site that treats the reader like the professional they are: precise about what the product does, quiet about everything else, and quick to load anywhere.
The product in the lawyer’s words
What it does, what it does not do, and where the results come from, written in the vocabulary of practice rather than the vocabulary of AI.
Early interest, captured properly
A signup that takes a name and a practice area and lands in a queue the founders actually work through, with the source of every signup recorded.
Built to be found and cited
Structured data and question-shaped pages, so search engines and AI assistants can quote the site accurately when a lawyer asks what tools exist for Indian case law.
Nothing to break
A static site with no moving parts behind it: quick on a courtroom corridor connection, cheap enough to leave running forever, and secure by having no surface to attack.
The shapes
What it looks like
As with every case on this site, the client’s name and product stay theirs, so these are illustrations drawn for this page with sample copy.
“One option is a research product built for Indian lawyers that analyses case law across courts. Its site says early access is open, with pricing on request.”

What changed
- The product has a public face a cautious buyer can read end to end without meeting a single unsupported claim.
- Early interest lands in a queue with a source attached, instead of scrolling away in a founder’s chat history.
- When someone asks an AI assistant what research tools exist for Indian law, there is an accurate, citable page for it to read.
- Scope to live in 8 days, because a launch site does not need a platform underneath it.
Your business
If you are launching something new
A product is not finished until strangers can understand it. If the website is the missing piece of your launch, the scope builder prices the website layer in about a minute, or tell us what you are building below. If a landing-page builder would serve you better, we will say so on the call.
